LUGGAGE
July 5, 2007 on 5:44 pm | In Blogroll | No CommentsAs we prepare for summer trips to camp, vacation, and family reunions; we always need luggage. There is usually a limit to how much luggage that can fit in the car for the trip. It is easy to overload the storage space with too much ’stuff.’
During the summer we are looking at ways that we can pick-up too much luggage spiritually, relationally, and mentally. These things become weights that slow us down. I like the way the NLT of the Bible states Hebrews 12:1-2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. 2 (a) We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish.”
How could our choices of music, movies, TV, relationships, and personal growth become weights/luggage that we carry that slow us down?
Are you dealing with the sin that so easily hinders you? How can you do this?
Plan now to off-load any luggage that would slow you down this summer at fuelyourlife youth service!
SURVIVOR YOUTH RETEAT!
June 7, 2007 on 11:17 pm | In Blogroll | No CommentsWow! We just had one of the greatest retreats ever! I want to say how much I appreciate all the volunteer staff and older youth who made this weekend happen! I can truly say I was impressed with every part of the weekend.
The annual retreat is one of the highlights of the youth ministry year and this one exceeded them all. I thought the two survivor teams ‘Holy Rollers’ and ‘wannnahunkalugge’ were awesome. The youth showed that they have a real hunger to have an anointed experience with God that changes them forever and helps them change their world!

Welcome to fuelyourlife youth
June 7, 2007 on 11:17 pm | In Blogroll | No CommentsFuelyourlife youth ministry is youth ministry for the entire family. Sammy & Dena Draper lead the fuelyourlife youth ministry. Sammy and Dena have been married 20 years. Sammy has been in the ministry 20 years; with most of that ministry time being dedicated to young people. Dena is a licensed public school teacher and works for the Tyler Independent School District teaching 6th and 7th graders.
Fuelyourlife youth ministry is built around purposes that will develop the entire young person from Junior High to College & Career. To communicate with Sammy at his myspace click http://www.myspace.com/sddraper and you will be able to send him messages and see some pics from youth events.
Thanks for stopping by and please take time to enjoy all the features on our website and/or read on for more information about this youth ministry.
Fuelyoulife is the youth ministry of Tyler Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. We believe that through the power of Apostolic Doctrine young people can be world changers! The apostolic model is still in affect and still changing lives. As Paul influenced a young Timothy to become the next generation of church leadership, we hope to mold, grow, and influence young people to become great leaders.
Through a family ministry we can first build a strong home life that creates the right environment for young people to grow. Parents are the single greatest influence in a young persons life! We hope to help parents on the journey of raising their child.
If you are a parent looking for a place to help you on this journey you have a friend in fuelyourlife youth ministry! With an enthusiastic group of volunteers and full time staff we will come along side you to help you see your child through these turbulent times we live in.
From the Associate Pastor
June 7, 2007 on 11:17 pm | In Blogroll | No CommentsHow can we re-ignite our walk with God? Reignite means to - ignite anew, as of something burning; “The strong winds reignited the cooling embers†Ignite anew, as of something burning! When you were first filled with the Holy Ghost and fire there was a gift given to you that the world can never take away - it is the Holy Ghost and fire! It is time to reignite our passion for His presence! It is time to reignite our love for holiness (outside & inside)! It is time to reignite our hunger for prayer! Let the wind of the Spirit blow fresh on our souls and reignite the embers of desire to win a world for Him! Let the wind of the Spirit blow fresh into our minds and reignite the embers of spiritual thinking!
I am challenging every one of us to fall in love with the presence of the One called Jesus! When have you considered Whom it is you claim to serve? Have you taken the time to talk with Him as a friend and not just a need supplier? He wants to be your friend and for you to know Him as such! A relationship with Jesus comes through prayer and the Word! However, it also comes through serving others as He did: John 13:3 Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. 4 So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, 5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples feet and to wipe them with the towel he had around him.
Jesus washed the feet of normal people! The supernatural bent and washed the feet of men to connect men to the supernatural. Pride and ego is one of the greatest ways that Satan leads young people astray. So I ask us, are we any better than Jesus? Can I wash the feet of a friend? Am I willing to serve? Will I take the towel of a servant and gladly serve others?
Re-ignition comes through submission to the will of God! And the will of God is that we Love the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, mind & strength, and we love others as ourselves!

June 7, 2007 on 11:16 pm | In Blogroll | No CommentsHey all! Right now if you are seeing this, you hopefully are an editor of the website. I just found this, and so far I am going to post stuff on the other website in blog form. Basically, right now this is a test, and doesn’t even have a direct link from the site. If you found this by accident just check back later, and hopefully the site will be running in top form.
